HOW IT WORKS:

HOW IT WORKS:
-Display one SpeechPage at a time with 12 illustrations of emotion scenarios each along with the holding/display page filled with a variet of Emotion choices cards.
-Discuss the types of emotions being presented prior to use. Discuss the illustrated situation one at a time. Allow the client an opportunity to try to identify the choice of emotion that scenario may represent, then choose from the display page and place it onto the illustrated scenario.
Many options are presented. Use a dry erase marker to write out on a blank any feeling that is identified that is not on the pre-made cards.
NOTE: Rather than focus on right or wrong answers, discussions as to why or why not the scenario may represent certain types of emotions may be more beneficial.

These materials WERE NOT designed to be used as part of mental health therapy or treatment plan. Emotions are abstract concepts. Communicating and identifying emotions can be difficult for any individual especial those with special education needs. Some individuals may still have difficulty with emotion topics and understanding these types of materials. A Clinicianʼs professional judgement as to the use of these materials is required. More than one answer is possible. Limit choices if needed.
